WINTER TRENDS 2020

WINTER TRENDS 2020
Get ready, Fall 2020 fashion has us enraptured by its wearable designs and minimalistic approach.  The collections presented at New York, London, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks blew our minds with their consistencies in colours, styles and patterns. We saw the rebirth of PU Leather in a chic edgy look, a massive collection of outerwear in a variety of styles as well as a blast from the ’80s and ’90s. Collections this year catered for anyone and everyone, with its comfortable, tailored garments and simple silhouettes. Embrace the cold in the most stylish manner.

BRIGHT BOLD COLOURS
Gone are the days of muted colour winter wardrobes. Bright colours are making their way into dull winter days. Pop in brightly coloured suits and bold statement knitwear. We love splurging on a classic grey in cashmere, but this year it’s all about the iconic electric pinks and cobalt blues. Find a hue that best suits your skin tone and rock your look! Accessorize with complementary jewellery, handbags and shoes.

FAUX LEATHER
Biker chic gets an elegant makeover. The classic black leather jacket stands the test of time while the tailored blazers dominate in shades of black and tan. Zara featured an entire leather collection from Shirts to Joggers. A leather outfit can easily go from edgy to trashy, so start off with key pieces and work your way up.

NATURAL TONES
When all else fails, go neutral. The longest-standing trend that’s oh so a la mode. Whether summer or fall, natural tones will always be a timeless option for all wardrobes. Play with shades of beige, tan, bisque, creams, browns and greys. Add different textures to your look and keep your accessories at a bare minimum. The key to wearing this trend is to play with a few tones that complement each other without perfectly matching and without feeling completely washed out.

OUTERWEAR
Is winter even winter without an oversized fluffy coat or chic boyfriend blazer! Glam up in your fur proudly as many designers are now using faux fur. This luxurious trend featured on the runway for Miu Miu. Givenchy, Prada, Michael Kors and many more! The trench coat is a winter wardrobe staple, but this year we saw the trench in the most memorable way. Clean lines with fewer embellishments made this classic piece a minimalists dream come true.
